ONWEER is a concert organisation, festival for dark and underground music, artist agency and so much more. Let’s start at the very basics:

I’m stijn, founder and sole member of Onweer (for now). I have a passion for art, with live music in particular. During the daytime you might find me at one of my jobs as a production manager, promotor, guitar tech/tourmanager or coördinator of artistic projects. During the nighttime you’ll find me with my guitar and drumcomputer. why am I telling you this? Hold on.

‘ONWEER’ in dutch means ‘electric storm’. This weather fenomenon has got many faces: at one point it’s a clouded storm with pouring rain, other times it’s flashy and electrifying. But, it’s always dark and haunting. That’s exactly how I would decribe the music I listen to. In a playlist full of my favourite tracks we would jump from ultra heavy distorted and dissonant sounds to electronic, danceable emotional beats. 

I combine all these things with ONWEER. I focus on music and art with a dark feel and vibe, rather than the genre or style. I feel that matches a lot with the way we consume music: look at your favourite Spotify playlists, chances are they’re based on a certain vibe. The ONWEER shows and Festivals are your guarantee for a dark night out.
